This special iteration of the popular basketball shoe-turned-lifestyle features a bold color scheme that celebrates the original Minneapolis Lakers league team that was formed in the late 1940s before the franchise moved to his current hometown of Los Angeles. The look of the shoe is inspired by the Minneapolis Lakers jerseys by donning a predominantly white leather upper but is contrasted by dark purple and light blue mid panels on the side and mid sections, respectively. The aforementioned blue hue also dressed up the eye patch, sock liner, and heel tab. In addition to the celebration, an NBA language tag for the 75th anniversary as well as a Los Angeles Lakers logo embossed on the heel. The look is completed with a White midsole and light blue outsole.
While initial information on the launch has been shared on Instagram by @zSneakerheadz, the release has yet to be confirmed by Nike.
The NBA x Nike Air Force 1 Low ’75th Anniversary’ collaboration isn’t the only shoe style making headlines this month. Kith also created a special iteration of the shoe to celebrate the opening of its new flagship store in Hawaii last week, which was available exclusively at the Hawaii Gate.
