Nike x Off-White Air Jordan 1 sneakers sell for 16,120 euros – WWD

SNEAKERS: An auction of collectible sneakers, dubbed the Loving Sneakers Sale, at Millon in Paris brought in 120,000 euros on Sunday afternoon.
The highest sale was 16,120 euros, for a pair of Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro High Off-White signed Virgil Abloh from 2018. The Jordan 1 Retro High Dior sneakers went for 9,672 euros, while a pair of Air Vapormax Black “The 10” Off-White sold for 1,240 euros, according to a spokeswoman for Millon.
“The first sale 100% dedicated to collector’s sneakers, organized by the Millon auction house, was a success with a full house of bidders and more than 250 million online bidders”, indicates the house in a communicated. He added 70 percent of the lots sold.
The sneaker craze has left the catwalks and entered the auction world lately. Sotheby’s, for example, recorded record sales of 200 pairs of Louis Vuitton and Virgil Abloh’s Nike “Air Force 1” in February. At the time, the auction house raised $25.3 million, which it said was the best-known public record for the most valuable sneaker and fashion auctions.
