Nine Derbion jobs available now, including four at Boots

Four roles to work at Boots are among nine jobs currently available at Derby’s biggest shopping centre. A wide range of retail positions are available for those wishing to work at Derbion.
Other retailers currently recruiting include Spanish fashion brand Mango, which opened in Tier 2 last November. There are three supervisor jobs up for grabs at Trespass, Quiz and the Build-A-Bear workshop, with Skechers looking to recruit a new salesperson.
We’ve put together a roundup of jobs available to apply for right now at Derbion. The positions below were advertised on center websitewith all details correct as of the afternoon of Friday May 20th.

Boots – four jobs available
1. NYX Professional Makeup Solo Account Manager
Those interested in applying for this full-time position at L’Oréal should ideally have two years of experience. The successful candidate will work 30 hours per week. Those interested in applying can do so online here before Wednesday, June 8.
2. L’Oréal Designer Perfumes Solo Account Manager
This part-time position of 22.5 hours per week is currently available. Those interested in applying must be “approachable, friendly and thrive on working in a team”. People can apply online here before Wednesday, June 15.
3. DIOR Beauty Advisor
Boots is looking to bring in either one member of staff to work 27.5 hours a week, or two part-time workers to do a week of 10.30 p.m. and 3 p.m. depending on the candidates. The deadline for this position is Tuesday, May 31.
4. Yves Saint Laurent counter manager
This is a maternity cover job to work 33.75 hours a week at the counter selling the perfumes of the Parisian brand. Those interested in applying can do it online here before Friday, June 24.
Prospective candidates interested in applying for one of Boots’ roles can also bring their CV and cover letter into the store at Level 1 before the closing dates listed above, rather than applying online.
Mango – visual merchandiser
The Barcelona-based brand, which has been open for less than a year at Tier 2, is looking to recruit a new full-time employee to work 40 hours a week. A minimum of one year of visual merchandising experience is required to apply by bringing a resume and cover letter in store by Monday, May 30. You can also apply online via Indeed or the Mango site.
Skechers – sales associate
The Tier 1 shoe brand is looking to recruit an “enthusiastic and engaged” salesperson, who would ideally be completely flexible, particularly Monday through Friday. This is a six hour contract, but more hours will be offered, depending on business needs. People interested in applying should do it here on the closing date, Tuesday, May 31.
Build-A-Bear workshop – supervisor
The Level 1 outlet, which is also currently recruiting a new Store Manager, wants to recruit a Sales Leader. The contract is for 20 hours with the possibility of working up to 40 hours per week. Quiz – supervisor
The women’s fashion boutique is also looking to recruit a new supervisor who must be completely flexible and available to work seven days a week. The successful candidate will work between 16 and 32 hours per week. Those interested can request to bring a CV and cover letter to the store by Wednesday 8th June or by emailing [email protected]
Intrusion – supervisor
The outdoor sportswear brand has a part-time role available to work 25 hours a week. The preferred method of applying is to submit a resume and cover letter to the store. But you can also apply online by emailing [email protected] by Sunday, June 12.
In other Derbion news, a new women’s fashion accessories store will open at the center on Thursday, May 26. Family-owned retailer Start and Tremayne already has branches in Mercia Marina near Willington in south Derbyshire, Barton Marina near Burton and Coopers Square shopping center in Burton.
A new toy store opened on level 1 at the end of last month. Toy Planet opened its new store in the city mall, which is twice the size of its previous store, on Saturday April 30.
Major British fashion retailer River Island is set to expand its unit Level 2 this summer, allowing the brand to offer a greater variety of fashion across women’s, men’s and children’s clothing. Spanning 11,000 square feet, the new outlet will be more than 30% larger than its existing store on the same floor, which will continue to trade until the new branch opens.
British retail giant Next will invest “significant investment” in its store as a revamp begins in June, with improvements due to be completed by mid-August. Once the renovation is complete, the store will have a new entrance as well as improved interior features and lighting.
A section of Next’s Level 2 floor space will also be occupied by health and beauty retailer Bath and Body Works following the changes. The US-based company offers skin and body care products, as well as gifts.
The highly anticipated Frasers opening should take place by the end of this year. Work to be developed the new department store, spanning three floors of the mall, is set to kick off this summer ahead of a scheduled opening in the final months of 2022.
