Woman’s body found in rural Washington County
Jessica Hart’s remains were found about five miles north of Banks.
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Oregon – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) is asking the public for advice after MPs responded to a report of a body found in a rural area about five miles north of Banks .
Detectives from the Violent Crime Unit responded to the Northwest Sellers Road and Northwest Linklater Road area on Sunday, October 17. WCSO said the evidence led them to believe the death was suspicious and had occurred at least two weeks before.
Initially, detectives were unable to identify the body. The Oregon State Crime Lab then identified the remains as those of 42-year-old Jessica Elizabeth Hart. The results of an autopsy have not been released while the investigation continues.
Officials described Hart as a white female, standing around 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing around 210 pounds. She wore a camouflage hat, a sweater and stretch pants, as well as black Skechers sneakers. WCSO said Hart was driving a black 2006 Saab 9-3 convertible, which was recently painted white except for the black roof. Detectives recovered the vehicle.
Detectives hope to hear from anyone with information about Hart’s death who has seen this vehicle or been in contact with Hart in recent months. Those with information to share should contact the Washington County Sheriff’s Office anytime at 503-846-2700.
